Site Preparation for Pool Enclosure Installation

To ensure the installation of your swimming pool enclosure goes smoothly and without complications, we have prepared a clear guide to site preparation. Learn how to prepare the base, what concrete specifications are required, and what to keep in mind when planning your pool surroundings. Good preparation saves time during installation and guarantees reliable operation from day one.

Site Preparation and Foundation Requirements

The base for mounting the rail tracks must be solid and load-bearing (concrete min. B20 / C16/20, ceramic or stone paving fully bonded onto a concrete slab, etc.). We do not recommend installing rail tracks on unbonded surfaces (such as pavers laid loosely on compacted gravel or sand). In such cases, the paving may shift, loosening the anchored tracks and deforming the entire pool enclosure. The wall surface for wall-mounted models (Terrace, Sunset, Rock) must likewise be solid and load-bearing—enclosures cannot be anchored directly into unreinforced insulated facades without proper structural anchoring. Applies to all pool enclosure models!

The surface for installing the pool enclosure must be level, and the maximum deviation should not exceed 5 mm over the entire length of the rail tracks. If the surface is uneven, the tracks must be shimmed, which may restrict smooth sliding or cause the bottom of the segments to rub against the tracks. The solid foundation beneath the track should be at least 3 cm wider on each side than the width of the rail track itself.

In case of difficult access to the pool, an appropriate number of helpers must be arranged to assist with lifting the segments onto the rail tracks.
For the installation of the pool enclosure, we require a 230 V power supply within 20 meters of the installation site.

The pool enclosure must be adapted to extreme weather and geographic conditions (such as foothill and mountain regions, locations with unusually strong wind gusts, etc.). Please inform us of these conditions in advance so we can offer you a suitably reinforced enclosure design.

Do not forget about underground electrical cables, water pipes, drainage, or other utilities that could be damaged when drilling and anchoring the rail tracks, or that could prevent installation.

Any changes made at the installation site after the pool has been measured (planting trees, building fences, retaining walls, etc.) must be consulted with us in advance to avoid unpleasant surprises on installation day.

In the event of damage or servicing, the segments must always be able to slide out of the front or rear end of the rail tracks. For this reason, the rail tracks must remain accessible from at least one end (front or rear). If the tracks are not accessible from either end, they must be split into two sections so one section can be unbolted if needed. Therefore, the rail tracks must never be tiled over, embedded in concrete, or permanently sealed in a way that prevents future disassembly. If the customer makes structural or landscaping modifications after installation that prevent disassembly (tiling over tracks, building walls, planting trees, etc.), the customer must remove such obstacles at their own expense for any warranty or post-warranty repair.
