Guidelines for Handling, Cleaning & Winter Maintenance

• Sliding the individual segments must always be performed by 2 people—one person on each side holding the handles.
• Before moving the enclosure, inspect the entire length of the rail tracks for foreign objects (twigs, pebbles, etc.) and remove them.
The segments glide along the tracks on bearing-mounted rollers; therefore, always secure the enclosure with the track locks both when open and when closed.
• In strong winds, check that all track locks are engaged and front walls are secured with all pins. Also close and latch all doors and openings.
• Do not stay inside the enclosure during thunderstorms or gale-force winds.
Do not slide the enclosure during strong winds or when there is ice or snow on the panels or in the rail tracks.
The largest and smallest segments feature removable front walls. Handling the front walls always requires 2 people.
• Do not place any objects or loads on the enclosure. Prevent anyone (especially children) from climbing onto the segments.
• Do not leave keys inserted in door locks or lockable drop bolts after unlocking.
• Sunscreen lotions must not come into contact with the polycarbonate glazing. Ingredients in sunscreens can permanently damage the polycarbonate surface.
Warning: Rail tracks and frames in dark finishes (bronze, anthracite, and dark RAL shades) can reach high temperatures on sunny days. Take care to avoid skin burns.
• During winter, clear snow from the entire enclosure. When removing snow, take care not to scratch or damage the polycarbonate sheets.
• Cleaning individual parts of the enclosure:
• When cleaning, be mindful that the polycarbonate surface can be scratched easily—never use sharp or abrasive tools.
• Regularly rinse coarse dirt off the polycarbonate panels with a stream of water.
• For washing, use clean water or mild soapy water applied with a clean, soft sponge or cloth.
• Never use products containing solvents (e.g. gasoline, acetone, alcohol).
• On enclosures with twin-wall polycarbonate, do not use a high-pressure washer.
• All locking mechanisms and door hinges must be lubricated with silicone oil twice a year. Ensure the oil does not come into contact with the polycarbonate.
• In the pool water, maintain free and combined chlorine levels between 0.3 – 0.6 mg/L and pH between 6.8 – 7.6. Failure to maintain these values may cause oxidation of stainless-steel and aluminum components.
• Temperature differences between the inside and outside environment cause water condensation. The aluminum frame includes drainage channels to let condensate escape.
• Water condensation inside twin-wall polycarbonate does not reduce its lifespan or performance and is not a defect.
• We recommend insuring your swimming pool enclosure.

Important Notes on Inherent Physical Properties

• Fogging or moisture inside the chambers of twin-wall polycarbonate is caused by condensation of air humidity due to temperature differences inside and outside the enclosure; it cannot be prevented physically and does not constitute a product defect.
• Anodized shades may vary slightly due to minor manufacturing tolerances and natural surface aging; this phenomenon cannot be prevented and is not a defect.
• A swimming pool enclosure is not designed as a hermetically sealed conservatory, and atmospheric precipitation may occasionally penetrate into the enclosed area.
• Tiny specs fused in the polycarbonate – According to the sheet manufacturer, polycarbonate is a technical plastic and fused granules up to 3 mm in size are tolerated by industry standards and have no effect on material performance.
• Minor gaps at rail track joints are caused by thermal expansion—aluminum has one of the highest thermal expansion coefficients of all metals.
• Drainage holes must be drilled in the aluminum frame to allow condensed water to escape. Occasionally, tiny insects may enter the polycarbonate chambers through these holes. Unfortunately, this cannot be prevented and is not covered as a warranty claim.
